The ACRE Information Sheet on Re-opening Community Buildings has been updated to reflect the changes in Government Guidance on Face Coverings and Performing Arts.
You can download Issue 5.1 of the Information Sheet along with updated appendices C, D, E, F, G, J and K from GRCC's dedicated page here
Face Coverings: Since 8th August, face coverings are required to be worn inside village and community halls. The Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed to ACRE that: “On entering a village hall, you will be required to wear a face covering, and will be required to keep it on, unless you are covered under a ‘reasonable excuse’. This could be for a gym class, if you need to eat or drink something, or if you have a health or disability reason to not wear one” Performing Arts: Changes and considerations related to performing arts are outlined in detail in Appendix J and reflected in Appendix D (Managing Social Distancing).
The Government Guidelines for multi-purpose facilities has been updated to reflect these changes and contains links to guidance on face coverings, performing arts and other relevant guidance. You can view it here
If you have any queries once you have read through the updated materials please contact your local GRCC Community Development Officer. If you do not know your local contact please email info@grcc.org.uk stating which Community Building you represent and a member of the team will be in touch.
